Description
Installs in the plenum near the evaporator coil and irradiates the coil surface and passing airflow with UV-C light, targeting mold and microbial growth on the coil itself — a common source of musty HVAC odors — as well as some airborne pathogens passing through. The bulb is a wear item, typically rated for about 9,000 hours (roughly one cooling season of continuous run time) before replacement is needed to maintain effective output. Requires 120V power near the install location and professional installation.
