Aprilaire's flagship media cabinet, rated MERV 13 out of the box with a filter upgrade path to MERV 16 for households that want maximum filtration (at the cost of slightly higher static pressure on the blower — confirm your system can handle the higher-MERV media before upgrading). Deep-pleated filter media offers roughly 4x the surface area of a standard 1-inch filter, which both improves capture efficiency and extends the interval between changes. Designed to install directly into the return trunk near the furnace or air handler.
