Description
Carrier's top-tier heat pump platform, built for large homes and colder climates where a heat pump needs to carry more of the winter heating load. Greenspeed Intelligence extends the compressor's efficient operating range down to lower outdoor temperatures than a standard heat pump, which can reduce (or in mild climates eliminate) reliance on backup electric-resistance heat strips. Requires an Infinity System Control thermostat and matched indoor unit to unlock full communicating, variable-speed operation — installed as a standard system with non-communicating controls, it still functions but loses the fine-grained modulation that's the main reason to buy this tier.
