Description
A complete 3-ton heat pump condenser for year-round heating and cooling in moderate climates where winter lows don't regularly drop far below freezing. Reversing valve switches the refrigerant cycle between cooling and heating modes automatically based on thermostat call, and a defrost control clears frost buildup on the outdoor coil during cold-weather heating operation. Single-stage scroll compressor keeps the design straightforward to service. Best suited as a primary heating source in mixed and southern climates, or as a supplemental system paired with a furnace (dual-fuel) in colder regions — ask your installer about dual-fuel changeover setpoints if pairing with an existing furnace.
